Who Are You?

The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory. Romans 8:16-17 (AMP)

This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike “What’s next, Papa?” God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. (Romans 8:15 MSG) And the God Most High, always takes care of His beloved children. He is not a dead beat dad. He never leaves us nor forsakes us, and He always provides for our needs and empowers us to do what He has called us to do.

As believers, we are to die to the flesh and live by the Spirit. (See Romans 8:13). For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14 NASB1995) As His offspring, we are to reflect the glory of our Heavenly Father. Let the love, grace and light He pours into us, continually flow out of us, and touch those around us, drawing others into the family of God. May we consistently press on to maturity as men and women of Almighty God, and bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God.
