What are You Wearing?

When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”John 11:43-44 (NASB1995)

When Jesus calls us to come, we are unbound, set free! We are to shed the old graveclothes. Ephesians 4:22-24 (NLT) says, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. As followers of Christ, we have been adorned in a royal garment. We are no longer destined for the grave, but have been given a privileged position in Him. So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; (Colossians 3:12 NASB1995) Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. (Colossians 3:14 NLT)

I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.Isaiah 61:10 (NLT)
