Not of the World

I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.John 17:15-16 (NASB1995)

As ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, we are not to adapt to the ways of this world. We are to become progressively more and more like our heavenly Father. For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17 NLT) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NASB1995)

In Luke 17:21 (NKJV), Jesus said: “the kingdom of God is within you.” …what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. “Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.  “And do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you. “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me,” says the Lord Almighty.  (2 Corinthians 6:17-18 NASB1995) Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20 NKJV)
