Our Shepherd

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
Psalm 23:1-2 (NASB)

Jehovah-Ro’i (YHWH-Rohi), means the LORD is our Shepherd. He leads us in love. He renews our strength. He guides us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3) He continually watches over us and takes care of us. He corrects us with kindness, for our own good. We all are like sheep, at some point we have gone astray. Let us always stay close to the Shepherd.

Yeshua is the Good Shepherd. He knows His sheep and they know Him. They listen to His voice, and answer when He calls. The Good Shepherd sacrifices His life for the sheep. What are we willing to sacrifice for our mighty God and His Kingdom?

And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, In the majesty of the name of the LORD His God. And they will remain, because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth. This One will be our peace.Micah 5:4-5 (NASB)
