But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” —Luke 10:41-42 (ESV)

Are you anxious and troubled about many things? Instead of worrying about the ever changing events of this world, be like Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to His teaching. (See Luke 10:39) Listen for the still small voice of your Shepherd. Seek Him and His will first and foremost. Let His voice be the first voice you listen to in the morning. He will lead you forth in peace. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalm 32:8 NLT)
