Focus

[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity]… —Hebrews 12:2 (AMP)

God never told us to examine our problems and figure out how we were going to handle them. Instead, look to the Lord and focus on His Presence with you. He is where our help comes from. The Word of God doesn’t tell us keep our eyes on the stock market and monitor every move, or on social media or the constantly negative news. Look away from all the distractions and look to Him who provided for the prophet Elijah in the wilderness by having ravens bring him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he drank from the brook. (See 1 Kings 17:6) Look to Jehovah Jireh. He is our Provider and the very Source of all we need.
