Set Your Mind

Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. —Colossians 3:2 (AMP)

Don’t sit by passively and let the enemy fill your mind with garbage. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires. (Romans 13:14 NLT) Make a dedicated decision to let your mind be led by the Spirit of God. Romans 12:1 (NASB1995), urges us, to present our bodies to God as a living and holy sacrifice. For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. (Romans 8:5 AMP) 

…we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]. (See 1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP) So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” (Romans 8:6 NLT)
