The Father of Lights

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. —James 1:17 (NASB)

Let us thank God for every good and perfect gift that He gives us on a daily basis. He is gracious and generous and He never changes. He is the Father of lights. God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. (See 1 John 1:5 NASB1995) He called us OUT of darkness INTO His marvelous light. (See 1 Peter 2:9 AMP) Come out! May we continually abide in His light, the light of His love and joy. And walk in the light of wisdom and truth. The darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining. (1 John 2:8 NASB1995) His light shows us The Way: Jesus! He is the only Way to God (John 14:6) and He is the most perfect gift to humanity of all time. He is the Truth and the Life. Receive Him into your heart and mind today.

…And to those who are in [spiritual] darkness, ‘Show yourselves [come into the light of the Savior].’ (See Isaiah 49:9 AMP)
