Greater & Greater

He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
John 3:30 (NLT)

Isaiah 60:1-2 (NASB1995) tells us to “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you.” As darkness covers the earth, children of God are to become the light in this world. We are to reflect the glory of our Heavenly Father, more and more each day. Second Corinthians 3:18 (AMP) says: And we all… are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. In order for us to reflect the light and love of Jesus, we must decrease and He must increase, in us. Open the door of your heart today and let Jesus shine on those He brings your way. Renew your mind with the Word of God, so your actions reflect the character and nature of our loving and merciful Father.

This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while I slip off to the sidelines. —John 3:30 (MSG)
