Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything. —Psalms 46:10 (MSG)

Cease striving, always trying to get somewhere or acquire something. Be still and acknowledge the Presence of our great and mighty God. He is El Elyon, the God Most High. He is above politics, above the doctor’s report, above the balance of your financial accounts, etc. Surrender your anxiety, doubts and worries to Him. Honor Him above all else. He is with you and He is able and faithful to provide everything you need. I will cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me. (Psalm 57:2)

God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. [pause] (Psalm 46:1-3 VOICE)
