The Perfect Gift

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. —James 1:17 (NASB1995)

Our heavenly Father is abundantly gracious and extremely generous. May we never forget the good things He does for us. The most perfect gift He gives us is Himself. In Hebrews 13:5 (NLT), God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” His Presence is our greatest blessing and benefit. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus says: “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” He is Immanuel, “God With Us”. When all others desert you, the Lord will stand with you. (See 2 Timothy 4:16-17) In His Presence is fullness of joy (See Psalm 16:11) and a peace which reassures the heart and transcends all understanding (See Philippians 4:7 AMP). In His Presence, He gives us power, strength and protection. (See Isaiah 40:29 & 2 Samuel 22:3 NLT) Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. (Joshua 1:5 NASB1995) Be strong and courageous, for the LORD God Almighty is with you too.
