Find New Strength

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. —Isaiah 40:29-31 (NLT)

When King David was down and out, he found strength in the LORD his God. (See 1 Samuel 30:6) We find new strength as we trust in YAHWEH, not in our own human abilities. Let us do what the LORD told Gideon in Judges 6:14, go with the strength we have. Then trust Him to fill in for what is lacking. The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. (2 Chronicles 16:9a NLT) Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (1 Chronicles 16:11) And rely on the power of His strength, in every situation and circumstance. He arms us with strength for the battle. (See 2 Samuel 22:40 NLT) He renews our strength, and guides us along right paths, bringing honor to his name. (See Psalm 23:3 NLT) May you find new strength in YAHWEH, today. Amen.
