This is The Day
This is the day YAHWEH has made, and it is good. In Genesis 1:31, God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. In Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT), the LORD says, the plans He has for His people are for good and not for disaster. Knowing that all YAHWEH has made is good, we can rejoice and be glad in today. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength! (See Nehemiah 8:10 NLT)
What enables us to keep our joy? By remembering all the good things the LORD has done for us, (see Psalm 103:2-5). By continually casting all of our cares and concerns on Him, (see 1 Peter 5:7). By trusting in YAHWEH and His goodness, and not relying on our own understanding. We can also keep our joy as we take note that joy does not depend on external conditions, but it comes from within, where the Presence of the LORD dwells. And in His Presence there is fullness of joy. (See Psalm 16:11 NASB)
