Consider Jesus

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; —Hebrews 3:1 (NASB1995)

Let us think carefully about our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah. Hebrews 3:1 (NIV), says to fix your thoughts on Jesus. He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name. (See Philippians 2:8-9 NKJV) He is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 1:5 NKJV) He is ruler over all.

Christ is faithful as a Son over His [Father’s] house. And we are His house if we hold fast our confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ]. (Hebrews 3:5-6 AMP) As followers of Christ, let us humble ourselves and be found faithful in our Father’s house. In Revelation 2:10 NASB1995, Jesus said, “Do not fear what you are about to suffer… Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

Be Captivated by Christ
