He Gave

When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit. —John 19:30 (AMP)

Jesus, having prayed to the Father, that He wanted the will of the Father to be done (See Luke 22:42), willingly gave His life. Philippians 2:8 (AMP) says, He humbled Himself [still further] by becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross. Our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. (Hebrews 10:12 NLT) For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. (Hebrews 10:10 NLT)
 Let us accept all the Father has given us through Christ and His amazing sacrifice of love and grace.

In light of all that Jesus has done for us, what are you willing to give, in obedience to Father? May we voluntarily surrender ALL to Jesus, for in Him we live and move and have our being (See Acts 17:28).

Be Captivated by Christ
