Listen

But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:41-42 (AMP)

There are many voices in the world today. Listening to the wrong voices can have us running around doing many things, even some good things, but they may not be the right things at the right time. Paying attention to the wrong voices can detour us away from God's will and cause us to fall in a ditch. It is to our advantage and well-being to always listen to the voice of the Lord. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (See John 14:6)

Luke 10:39 (AMP) says: Mary seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. May we be like Mary and take time to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to His voice. May we have ears to hear the still small voice of the Holy Spirit within us leading, guiding and directing us on the way, the when and the how.
