Be Strong & Courageous

And when he was in distress, he entreated Yahweh his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. Then he prayed to Him, and He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and returned him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God. —2 Chronicles 33:12-13 (LSB)

Who do you turn to when in distress? May we first implore Yahweh in any and all situations, and know that He is our great God, the God Most High. And His ear is open to hear the petitions of His people. Be strengthened by the words of Hezekiah, king of Judah to God’s people: “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria nor because of all the multitude that is with him; for the one with us is greater than the one with him. With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is Yahweh our God to help us and to fight our battles.” (See 2 Chronicles 32:7-8) Yahweh is still with His people to help us and to fight our battles.

 Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind]. —1 John 4:4 (AMP)

Know & Believe

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord. Don't Drift

So by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us. — Hebrews 6:18 (TLV) We have this hope as an anchor of the soul, both firm and steady—a hope that enters the inner place behind the curtain. Yeshua has entered there as a forerunner on our behalf… (See Hebrews 19-20 TLV). When we take hold of the hope we have in Yeshua, it serves as an anchor, to keep us from drifting away from Yahweh. In stormy times, our hope is an anchor of the soul that will keep us closely connected to Him. It cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it.
