He Delivers

Then they took Jeremiah and cast him into the cistern of Malchijah the king’s son, which was in the court of the guardhouse; and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. Now in the cistern there was no water but only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud. —Jeremiah 38:6 (NASB1995)

Jeremiah was thrown into a dungeon for obeying God and speaking His word of warning to the people. Even when we are doing as Yahweh has instructed us, things may not go as we think they should. When you are mistreated for speaking the Word of God, remember that Yahweh is always with you. You are never alone. And they will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares Yahweh. (See Jeremiah 1:19 LSB) Just as Jeremiah was lifted out of the dungeon (See Jeremiah 38:13), Yahweh will rescue you from the hands of the enemy.
