A Sacred Offering

Brothers and sisters, in light of all I have shared with you about God’s mercies, I urge you to offer your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice to God, a sacred offering that brings Him pleasure; this is your reasonable, essential worship. —Romans 12:1 (VOICE)

May we humbly approach the throne of grace and offer our bodies to YAHWEH as living and holy sacrifices. Give Him your whole heart; truly set your affections on Him. Desire His Presence above all. Offer to Him your tongue, that the words you speak would reflect His character and nature (life, love and peace). Present your mind to Him, by continually renewing it with His Holy Scriptures. Give Him your eyes, so you can see things from His higher, eternal perspective and not from our limited human view. Offer your hands to Him, so you can diligently do the work He has given to you. Offer your feet to Him, so He can lead you and guide you according to His good plan and purpose. And you will be strengthened to run the race He has set before you.

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. —Romans 12:1 (MSG)
