Lack No "Good" Thing

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. —Psalms 84:11 (NASB1995)

Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received! (2 Peter 1:3 MSG) YAHWEH is a very generous giver. This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him. (1 John 5:14-15 NASB1995)

If you think God is holding out on you, consider that the thing you desire may not be a good thing for you at this particular time. Then, examine your motive for asking. James 4:3 (NASB1995) says: You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. May we ask God for wisdom, in all situations. James 1:5 (NASB1995) says: …if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. —Psalms 34:10 (NIV)
