"Come & Follow Me"

But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. —John 10:2-3 (NLT)

We are a chosen people. God called us out of the darkness and into his wonderful light. (See 1 Peter 2:9 NLT) Jesus invites all people to come to Him and to follow Him. In John 1:43 (NLT), Jesus found Philip and said to him, “Come, follow me.” In Matthew 8:22 (NASB1995), Jesus said to one of his disciples, “Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.” In Luke 9:62 (NKJV) Jesus said: “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Let us move onward and forward, no looking back. Today, Jesus beckons us to come and follow Him.

As followers of Christ, may we abide in Him and adhere to His ways and teachings. Ignore the distractions and everything else that creates distance between you and our Savior and Shepherd. Come and follow Him. As the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 4:1 (NLT), I beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Amen.

Be Captivated by Christ
