Set Free

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” —John 8:31-32 (NLT)

Being set free begins with remaining faithful to the teachings of Jesus. Then we will know the truth and it will set us free. Jesus is the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. (See John 1:9 NASB1995)  For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. (John 1:17 NASB1995) 

The truth sets us free from worry and anxiety, because we know that nothing will be impossible with God (see Luke 1:37) We know that His plans for us our good. (See Jeremiah 29:11) The truth sets us free from the lies of the enemy. It sets us free from any bondage or addiction, because we are longer controlled by the desires of the flesh but by the Spirit of God. (See Romans 8:14) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 NKJV)

Be Captivated by Christ

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego replied to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer concerning this matter.
