Children of God

For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ —Acts 17:28 (AMP)

See what an incredible quality of love the Father has shown to us, that we would [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! (See 1 John 3:1a AMP) Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. (Ephesians 5:1 NLT) Because His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts, let us follow His example. Love others with an unconditional love that never fails. Freely we have received from God, let us also freely give. (See Matthew 10:8) Help those in need, just as Yahweh helps the needy. Psalm 72:12 (NKJV) says: He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.

Live as children of the light, because God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. (See 1 John 1:5) …for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (Ephesians 5:8 NASB1995)

Be Captivated by Christ
