No Condemnation

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. —Romans 8:1-2 (NKJV)

There is no condemnation for those in Christ. Our Heavenly Father speaks the language of love. His correction is not meant to crush your spirit, but to build you up and draw you closer to Him. His Spirit convicts us of sin, but our enemy attempts to heap shame and guilt upon us. Satan is the accuser of the brethren, who accuses us before our God day and night. (See Revelation 12:9-10) But if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; (See 1 John 2:1 NASB1995)

If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. Since we respected our earthly fathers who disciplined us, shouldn’t we submit even more to the discipline of the Father of our spirits, and live forever? —Hebrews 12:8-9 (NLT)

Be Captivated by Christ
