Peace be with You

So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” —John 20:19 (NASB1995)

Peace is a blessing from the LORD. Psalm 29:11 (NLT) says: The LORD gives his people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace. Never let the enemy steal your peace. Our peace is to be perfect and constant. External, temporary circumstances should not disrupt our peace. In John 16:33, Yeshua said:  “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (See Philippians 4:7)

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. —Matthew 5:9 (NLT)
