Choose Life

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” —Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NLT)

YAHWEH is gracious, loving and kind. He does not force anything on us, but gives us the freewill to choose for ourselves. We get to choose the way we go, or the way we react to situations. Each moment of the day, we can decide whether to follow Christ, or to be led by our flesh or the devil. But remember,  every choice we make has its consequences. Don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. (Romans 6:16 NLT) May we always choose to do what is right and reject what is wrong. Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. (Psalm 25:12 NLT)

If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (See Joshua 24:15 NASB1995) Amen.

Be Captivated by Christ
