He Restores

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. —Psalm 71:20 (NLT)

Yahweh is a God of restoration. For our momentary, light affliction, this passing trouble, is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (See 2 Corinthians 4:17) The Message Bible says: These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. (2 Corinthians 4:17) 

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:2-4 MSG) After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 5:10-11 NASB1995)
