Deserted

Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Rabbi!" and kissed him. 
The men seized Jesus and arrested him.
Then everyone deserted him and fled.
Mark 14:45-46, 50 (NIV)

There is nothing like the sting of betrayal or the pain of being deserted by those who professed to love you, but even Jesus Christ experienced betrayal and desertion. We can take comfort in knowing our heavenly Father will NEVER leave us or forsake us. He promises to be with us in the fiery flames and in the stormy flood waters. Praise the LORD!
