Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. — Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) Wisely choose the words you speak. The Amplified Bible reminds us that we bear the consequences of the words we speak. In Matthew 9:20-21, the woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of his garment, for she said to herself , “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.” She received her healing. What are you saying to yourself? In Luke 7:7, the centurion told Jesus, “I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You, but j ust say the word , and my servant will be healed.” In Luke 7:10, his servant was found in good health. Inquire of the LORD!

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the LORD. — 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 (NIV) Today we have the Word of God and His Holy Spirit living within us, to guide us. We can suffer serious consequences for making wrong decisions and bad choices. Fools die for lack of wisdom (Proverbs 10:21). Our God is all-knowing and all wisdom dwells with Him. Inquire of the LORD before you launch and seek His guidance in all endeavors.

Take Precautions

A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions.  The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. Proverbs 22:3 (NLT) Be wise and use good judgment. Sensible people foresee trouble and take the necessary precautions to avoid putting themselves in situations that can cause them to stumble. Those who blindly float through life pay the penalty for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay. Think before you act and take precautions to stay on the right track.
