Manna for Your Morning

Dear friend, take my advice; it will add years to your life. I’m writing out clear directions to Wisdom Way, I’m drawing a map to Righteous Road. I don’t want you ending up in blind alleys, or wasting time making wrong turns. Hold tight to good advice; don’t relax your grip. Guard it well—your life is at stake! Don’t take Wicked Bypass; don’t so much as set foot on that road. Stay clear of it; give it a wide berth. The Message Bible says: …absolutely stay out of her neighborhood. Let's walk with Lady Wisdom and stay away from the door that leads to temptation and wrongdoing. Do you hear Lady Wisdom calling? But he took our suffering on him and felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him.  But he was wounded for the wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment, which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds. — Isaiah 53:4-5 (NCV) Jesus carried our pains. He was crushed for our sins and wrongdoing. He was pierced for our rebellion. Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. (Galatians 3:13a NLT) There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1 NKJV) We have been rescued from sin and death. Let us walk according to the Spirit and live well and healed.

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. — Proverbs 4:18 (NIV) The road of wrongdoing gets darker and darker (Proverbs 4:19 MSG). However, our paths, and lives as believers are to shine brighter and brighter. As we follow Christ and become more like Him, we go from glory to glory, and shine like stars in the midst of darkness. We can look forward to each day and expect great things because God is always doing something new in our lives, in us and in our circumstances. In Isaiah 43:19 (NIV), “He says see, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”
