See the place where they laid Him.” — Mark 16:6 (NKJV) When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Yeshua, very early in the morning, on the first day of the week. (See Mark 16:1-2) Whom do you seek? The most beneficial and advantageous activity we can engage in is to wholeheartedly seek Yeshua, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. “Behold! He is The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (See John 1:29) He is indeed the Messiah (which translated means Christ). (See John 1:41). “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said…” — Matthew 28:5-6 (NASB) In Luke 24:5, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen.” Don’t seek the living One among the dead. Jesus is the Resurrection and Life  (John 11:25). Jesus is Immanuel, God with us! Christ is our risen Savior, King of kings and Lord of lords. His tomb is empty and He is seated on the throne. For the joy set before Him, Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.  — 1 John 4:9-10 (NLT)

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying.” — Matthew 28:5-6 (NLT) Who do you look for? Seek Jesus, the Messiah, our Risen Savior, the One who touches and transforms lives. Look for Christ, the One who conquered sin, death and the grave. Matthew 28:1 (NLT) says:  Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.  May we seek Jesus early. Don’t get started on your day until you spend some time with the Lord, dine with Him, feed on His Word and seek His will. Engage with Him,  not just early, but continually throughout your day. Luke 24:1, says the women came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. Today, let us bring our hearts to Him. May we prepare our hearts to receive our King. We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. We all have faith, Romans 12:3 says, God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. The key is where, what or who we invest our measure of faith in. Some have faith in their bank account or jobs, to answer all their problems. Others put faith in other people, but it is better trust in the Lord, than man. He is the only One who will always be there for you, never will He abandon you. Jesus is the answer to every problem or challenge before you. “Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.” — Luke 24:30 (NKJV) In all of these accounts: Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22, and Luke 24:30, Jesus blessed the bread before it was broken. Just because we have been broken by some horrific events in our past, doesn't mean that we are not blessed. We can be both at the same time, blessed and broken. We may be struck down, but never destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:9 AMP). After Jesus was beaten, and  crucified, He received the blessing of sitting at the right hand of the Father. We too will be broken as we receive our blessings and go from one glory to another. Brokenness builds strength and tenacity in us, and increases the capacity we have to give to others. Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’ ” — Luke 24:6-7 (NKJV) Day One : Christ gave His life on the cross to bear the sins of many; to set the captives free from the penalty of sin and death. There was pain. There was blood shed and there was sacrifice. Day Two : There was sorrow and grief. To the disciples of Jesus, all appeared hopeless, but Jesus was taking care of business, behind the scenes. Day Three : Jesus rose from the dead. The tomb was empty. He declared victory over death, and hell. He overcame the world. My beloved friends, let us patiently endure day one and day two of any trials and tribulations that come our way. For we know that the 3rd day is coming! God will deliver us from all our troubles. Jesus has given us the victory. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, ...

Come, see the place where the Lord lay. — Matthew 28:5-6 (NKJV) When the women told the apostles about the empty tomb, their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them (Luke 24:11). In order for the power of the resurrection to have any effect in our lives, we must believe. Followers of Jesus can rejoice in the resurrection. The fact that Jesus defeated death and rose again, gives believers the power to live in freedom and victory. His resurrection infuses in us renewed strength and hope. Just as Jesus triumphed and overcame the world, we too can be victorious. He made a way for us. Thank you, Jesus!

He carried our sorrows; He was afflicted. He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities; (Isaiah 53:4-5). He endured the cross and His body was laid in a tomb. But on the third day it was said of Him, “He is risen!” We have been born again into a LIVING hope. The third day brought about VICTORY over sin and death, freedom and joy. We may have to go through some stuff, but remember the 3rd day! In Christ Jesus, our Savior, we already have the victory. Amen!

So Pilate again asked them, “Then what should I do with the king of the Jews?” — Mark 15:12 (GW) The question each of us must ask ourselves everyday is, “What am I going to do with Jesus?” The soldiers, chief priests and scribes made fun of Him. Pilate handed Him over to be crucified. Others rejected Jesus, while others bowed down and worshiped Him. The disciples accepted Jesus as the Son of God, their Lord and their Savior and affected the whole world with their faithfulness. What are you going to do with Jesus? The answer to this question marks your final destination for all of eternity as heaven or hell. When you choose to follow Jesus Christ, you choose life!

Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals - one on his right, the other on his left. Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Luke 23:32-34 (NIV) Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, according to Philippians 2:5. When people betray us and try to harm us, may we have the humility and lovingkindness to pray and ask God to forgive them. As Jesus hung on the cross, all appeared lost to His followers, but here is a perfect example of how God works everything together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
