Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. So, let us purposefully, press on to know the LORD. (Hosea 6:3a) Let us become personally acquainted with Him and continually grow in our understanding of His greatness and faithfulness. We have an open invitation to draw near. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. — Revelation 22:17 (NKJV) Just as Adam and Eve did in the garden of eden, we often try to hide from God. However, we have an open invitation. Jesus always beckons us to come to Him. Let us remove the clutter from our lives and tear down the walls that keep us from drawing closer to our heavenly Father. May we come to Jesus with our hearts open wide and let the continual flow of His love flood our hearts and change our lives. Jesus said, “ All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. ” (John 6:37 NKJV)
