Every Perfect Gift

Image
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.  — James 1:17 (NASB1995) He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32 NKJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. (1 Corinthians 2:12 AMP) The payoff for a life of sin is death, but God is offering us a free gift—eternal life through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King. (Romans 6:23 VOICE) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV) Thanks be to Yahweh for His indescribable gift! Receive His gift today.  Great is the goodness and generosity of Yahweh. He has freely giv...

Freely Give

Image
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NLT) Freely we have received, let us freely give. YAHWEH fills our cup to overflowing with blessings (see Psalm 23:6) so we can have more than enough to share with others. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (See 1 John 3:1 NIV) Let us also bestow upon others this same unconditional, unfailing love. A love that is patient and kind and keeps no record of being wronged. (See 1 Corinthians 13:4-5) Just as our heavenly Father sees the best in us, let us also highlight the good qualities in others. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. (Ephesians 1:7 NLT) May we shower His k...

Drink Living Water!

Image
“For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” — Jeremiah 2:13 (NLT)   O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who turn away from you will be disgraced. They will be buried in the dust of the earth, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water. — Jeremiah 17:13 (NLT) “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;” (Isaiah 55:1 NKJV) Drinking from the wells of this world, will leave you empty and thirsty. When we drink of the Living Water, we are richly satisfied, and experience the abundant life. In John 4:13-14 (NKJV), Jesus said, “ Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. ” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Begin...

Seek & Sow

Image
The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness and lives his life with integrity will have a true reward [that is both permanent and satisfying]. — Proverbs 11:18 (AMP) Seek what is good (God is good) and sow righteousness. The LORD upholds and sustains the righteous [who seek Him]. (Psalm 37:23 AMP) He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, (Proverbs 11:27a).  Just as God has freely given to us, let us freely give. Sow love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Forgive those who hurt you. Comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:4) We will truly be satisfied, as we allow ourselves to be channels for God's goodness to flow through us and into the lives of others. Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. (Psalm 37:3-4 NLT)

Blessed & Greatly Favored

Image
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation].”  — P salm 84:11-12 (AMP) The Lord is not a hard man as His servant stated in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:24). Jesus said, His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30). Our heavenly Father wants to bless His children. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. Our cup will overflow with blessings (Psalm 23:5 NLT). God will not only meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19), He will provide more than enough so you can be a blessing to others. And when you delight yourself in the LORD, He shall give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). He who did not spare His o...

Respond

Image
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving.” — Matthew 6:30-31 (MSG) God has given us so much, His Son, His Spirit, His peace, etc. How do you respond to God’s giving? Let us always give thanks for the many blessings our heavenly Father continually pours out on us, too numerous to count. I believe, a genuine heart, full of gratitude and appreciation for all He has done and is doing, is an awesome way to respond to our great God. In Matthew 10:8, Jesus says, “ Freely you have received, freely give. ” Another response to God’s giving is to become like Him and generously give to others. We are blessed to be a blessing!

He Can & He Will

Image
And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity. — 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) The enemy wants us to focus on fears and lack. However, as we trust God and freely give, He multiplies the blessings back to us in abundance. As we sow the seeds our heavenly Father provides, they come back to us in wave after wave, seeds of joy, seeds of love, financial seeds, etc. Freely you have received, freely give!

Freely Give

Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. — Proverbs 3:9 (MSG) As we honor God by giving back to Him  and to others, He pours back into our lives in abundance so that we have more than enough. As Pastor Jeff Osborne taught on Sunday, there are givers, takers and matchers. Takers are only out for what they can get from others. Their mantra is “what have you done for me lately?” Matchers limit their giving to the extent that they receive from others. Givers, freely and cheerfully give. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16a (NKJV). God gives us all things that pertain to life and godliness. His love knows no bounds; it is limitless. Freely we have received, let us freely give!

Extravagant Givers

Image
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. — 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NKJV) Let us imitate our heavenly Father, Who continually gives. He pours out His love and kindness, at all times. The spout on His grace and mercy is continuously open. James 1:5 says, God gives wisdom generously to all who ask. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11). Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17 NIV). As we have freely received, let us delight ourselves in being extravagant givers, not just of our finances, but our time, talents, God's love, and grace, etc.

Freely Give

Freely you have received, freely give . — Matthew 10:8b (NKJV) God has so generously given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3). May we also be givers. What great love the Father has lavished on us. Let us give love and forgiveness as generously as we have received it. Just as we have received joy and peace from our Father, let us spread joy and pursue peace wherever we go. God has so abundantly blessed us, let us be a blessing and help meet the needs of those around us.
