He Sticks Up for Us

If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?   The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. — Romans 8:32, 34 (MSG) What then shall we say to these things? He Intercedes for Us

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. — Romans 8:34 (NIV) Jesus is like a big brother, who takes up for his brothers and sisters. When the enemy tries to condemn us, Jesus speaks grace and mercy over us. He covers us with His blood, which washes our sins away. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NIV) No matter what you are going through today, you are more than a conqueror through him who loves you so much. Be absolutely convinced that nothing shall separate you from God’s love.

Complete Dependence

God, the Master, The Holy of Israel, has this solemn counsel: “Your salvation requires you to turn back to me and stop your silly efforts to save yourselves. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on me— The very thing you’ve been unwilling to do.” — Isaiah 30:15 (MSG) Christ Jesus died for us, was raised to life and is at the right hand of God interceding for us. (Romans 8:34) Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. God is on Our Side!

With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? Romans 8:31-32 (The Message) Our heavenly Father loves us so much, He did not spare his own Son, but gave Him up for us all. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us (Romans 8:34). How can we lose with God on our side? Absolutely nothing can get between us and God's love. Despite all the difficulties we face in life, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. God gives us an overwhelming victory!
