Visible Faith

Image
And some men were carrying on a bed a man who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of Him. But not finding any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus. Seeing their faith, He said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven you.” — Luke 5:18-20 (NASB) These men had the kind of faith, Jesus could see. And because of their faith, the paralytic received his healing, and went home glorifying God (Luke 5:25). Do you have the visible kind of faith that finds a way to get others in front of Jesus? Let us have the type of faith that displays compassion and kindness, the quality of faith that demonstrates care and concern for those in need. May we have the kind of faith that brings those in need, to Jesus, the Savior of the world. He is the answer to every problem, mountain, giant and storm. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asked the question,...

He Delivers!

Image
For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living. — Psalm 116:8-9 (NKJV) God says “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” (Psalm 50:15 NKJV). Call upon Him as long as you live. Psalm 34:17 (NKJV) says, the righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Remain confident of this: You will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13). The fact that you are walking in the land of the living means that God has somewhere for you to go and it is good!

The Royal Law

And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ — Matthew 22:39 (NKJV) I think the often forgotten part of this Scripture, is that we are to love ourselves. We need to love ourselves, before we can understand how to love our neighbor. Not a pompous, puffed up, prideful love, but acknowledging that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NASB) God loves us and wants His Holy Spirit to work through us, to bring about His will on the earth. We are very valuable to Him. His only Son gave His life for us. Let us take care of our bodies, physically and spiritually; taking in the right nourishment, getting the proper amount of rest, exercising and renewing our minds with His Word. This brings glory to God and has a positive impact for His kingdom. If you really fulfill the royal law according ...

Be Thankful

Image
Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. — Psalm 100:3-4 (NKJV) Although people knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (Romans 1:21) Having unthankful hearts that could not glorify God led to hearts that were darkened. Let us give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:20). Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV)
