Manna for Your Morning

Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. — Psalms 30:4-5 (NKJV) You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever. (Psalms 30:11-12 NKJV) Yahweh blesses the righteous one, He surrounds him with favor as with a large shield. (See Psalms 5:12 LSB) May we sing praise to Him and give Him thanks, even during our darkest days, knowing that He will deliver us.

“ You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something. ” — Psalms 139:13, 15 (TPT) We are created in the image of God. (See Genesis 1:27) The One Who formed you in the womb of your mother knows everything there is to know about you. He knows our inside is delicate, easily broken or damaged. And our outside environment is intricate, very complicated or detailed. No need for pretense with Him. We cannot hide anything from Him, so be humble, open and honest with our heavenly Father. Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. — Proverbs 30:5 (NLT) Every word of God has stood the test of time. His word stands forever. The word which goes forth from His mouth will not return to Him empty, without accomplishing what He desires, and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. (Isaiah 55:11). His Word is our source of hope. (Psalm 119:114b NLT) Just as those with shelters for tornados and other harmful events flee with a sense of urgency to get in them when the storms are on their way, let us come to our heavenly Father for protection. He is our hiding place. Take refuge in Him, He is our mighty fortress. For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 NASB)

“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me (Psalm 23:1-4 NLT). No matter how dark the valley or how deep the pit, we will arise and live in the light of the LORD, because He is with us! “ I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people. ”   ( Leviticus 26:12 NKJV)

…fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. — 1 Timothy 1:18-19 (NIV) Avoid shipwreck by letting the light of the Lord be the guiding force in your life. Hold onto faith by  daily renewing your mind with the Word of God and keep a good conscience by actually doing what His Word says. As we fix our eyes upon the Lord, He will guide us to our desired destination.

The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. — Psalm 115:12-13  (NKJV) The LORD has you on His mind. Thoughts of you continually invade the mind of God. Psalm 40:5 says, His thoughts toward us are more than can be numbered. Psalm 139:17 says, how precious also are His thoughts to us, O God! How great is the sum of them! Likewise, let us continually be mindful of our heavenly Father. God shows personal favoritism to no man (Galatians 2:6). He loves each and every one of us and is working for our good. So whether you think you’re small and insignificant or think you are great, if you fear the LORD, abundant blessings are coming your way!

Then news of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to go as far as Antioch. When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. — Acts 11:22-23 (NKJV) I encourage you all, to continue with the Lord, each and every moment of your life. No matter what, stay solid in your commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, with your whole heart. Be totally devoted to doing the will of our heavenly Father and fulfilling the mission He has given to you. Then when we see the grace and favor of God at work in our lives, it will make us glad!

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.  — Psalm 86:5 (NIV) When we confess our sins, the Lord is standing by, ready to forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). He removes our transgressions as far from us, as the east is from the west. The love we have in Jesus knows no boundaries. It goes on and on. His love never gives up on us. Call upon the Lord, fully confident that He will answer.

I’m convinced that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it through to completion on the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (GW) We were created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Our heavenly Father began a good work in you, and He is faithful to carry it through to completion. For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose (Philippians 2:13). Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11 (NIV) The Lord takes care of His people like a shepherd. He constantly watches over us. He makes us lie down in green pastures and leads us beside still waters (Psalm 23:2). The Lord restores our souls and gently guides us along on the right path. He gathers us in His arms and carries us close to His heart. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJ) Almighty God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever imagine. He is able to calm your most ferocious storms and move any mountain. He can turn your pain and sorrow into overflowing joy with dancing. Our all-knowing God is capable of imparting crystal-clear knowledge, wisdom and direction in the midst of confusion.
