Follow Yeshua

Image
“When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.” — Luke 5:11 (NASB1995) May we, like the early disciples, leave everything and follow Yeshua. In Luke 9:23-24, He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” Let us walk closely with Him every day . The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. Yeshua has come that we may have life, and that we may have it more abundantly. (See John 10:10 NKJV)

Before the Battle

Image
Before the battle the Israelites went to Bethel and asked God, “Which tribe should go first to attack the people of Benjamin?” The LORD answered, “Judah is to go first.” — Judges 20:18 (NLT) In the first battle, Benjamin’s warriors, killed 22,000 Israelites on the battlefield. (See Judges 20:21) In Judges 20:23, the Israelites sought Yahweh again. For they had gone up to Bethel and wept in the presence of the LORD until evening. They asked the LORD, “Should we fight against our relatives from Benjamin again?” And the LORD said, “Go out and fight against them.” So the next day they went out again to fight against the men of Benjamin, but the men of Benjamin killed another 18,000 Israelites. (See Judges 20:24-25) In Judges 20:28, they sought God a third time. The Israelites asked the LORD, “Should we fight against our relatives from Benjamin again, or should we stop?” The LORD said, “Go! Tomorrow I will hand them over to you.” This time He ensured them of success. Even after the two prev...

Take Refuge

Image
“ May the LORD reward your work, and your wages be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge. ” — Ruth 2:12 (NASB1995) Ruth decided to stay with her mother-in-law, Naomi, and committed her life to Yahweh and was truly blessed. Believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (See Hebrews 11:6 NLT) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1 NASB1995) Let us take refuge in Him. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. (Psalms 91:2 NLT) The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude (Psalms 46:7 NLT) On God my salvation and my glory rest; The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. — Psalms 62:7-8 (NASB1995)

In His Presence

Image
“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress. Interlude — Psalm 46:10-11 (NLT) Worthy, worthy, worthy is Yahweh, to receive all glory, honor and praise. He continually lavishes His amazing love upon us, in wave after wave. What pure and unconditional love He has for us! We love, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19) In His Presence, we experience a deep and abiding peace. It is a peace that is not moved by external circumstances: weather storms, the political climate, crime rates or pandemics, etc. In our great and mighty God, we can remain in peace, knowing that He is faithful to be with us and to bring us through it all. He is the God Most High, Elohim, the all-powerful One.  Oh, what fullness of joy comes when we are still in His Presence! It is an uncontainable joy that overflows the heart. A cheerful heart is good medicine… (Prove...

He Rescues!

Image
God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light. Yes, God does these things again and again for people. He rescues them from the grave so they may enjoy the light of life. — Job 33:28-20 (NLT) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and were too strong for me. They attacked me at a moment when I was in distress, but the LORD supported me and led me to a place of safety. (See Psalm 18:16-19 NLT) The LORD rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. (Psalm 37:39) He rescues us because He is faithful and good. (See Psalm 109:21 NLT) The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time. (Psalm 34:17-19 NLT) Our mighty God is faithful and comes to...

Members of His Family

Image
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens [outsiders without rights of citizenship], but you are fellow citizens with the saints (God’s people), and are [members] of God’s household, — Ephesians 2:19 (AMP) We are not called into a religion, but into a relationship with our heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are God’s holy people, and members of His family. Let us live as children of light. …prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless, innocent and uncontaminated, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness], (Philippians 2:15 AMP) Be a beacon of His light. With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hea...
