“Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” — Matthew 24:11-13 (NASB1995) In a discussion with His disciples, about the signs of the times and the end of the age, Jesus says the love of many will grow cold. In Revelation 2:4 (AMP), to the church in Ephesus, He says: “…I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me].” May we never abandon the love we have for our Yeshua, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. If our love for our Savior is a burning flame that never goes out, our love for others will never grow cold. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” — Luke 3:16 (NKJV) Revelation 3:15-16, is a word to the church, the body of Christ. He says, “ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. ” To be lukewarm, is to be wishy-washy, compromising, and tossed to and fro with the wind. Be hot —on fire for the Lord! Jesus baptizes us with fire. It’s a refining fire that burns out impurities. His fire will keep your heart from growing cold. May we let His fire continually burn in our hearts.
