Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. — Romans 8:35-36 (NLT) None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. That Sunday evening the disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! “Peace be with you,” he said. — John 20:19 (NLT) Jesus said to His disciples again, “ Peace be with you, ” in John 20:21 and John 20:26. It's pretty clear, He desires for His disciples to remain in peace. Peace is not an escape from the pressures of life. It is something Jesus tells us to have, even in the midst of the storms. In John 16:33 (AMP), He told us we would have tribulation, distress and suffering, but He also said, “T hese things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace .” How can we maintain peace in the midst of the storms? 1) By relying on the help of the Holy Spirit within us. 2) By believing and speaking the Word of God to every mountain (trial, situation, or circumstance). And 3) by remembering that our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory t...

“And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You.” — Psalm 39:7 (NKJV) Christ Jesus is our hope… (1 Timothy 1:1 NASB). Keep your hope in Him alive, and fresh! This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, is both sure and steadfast… (Hebrews 6:19 NKJV). Our hope is the anchor that will keep us from drifting when stormy winds blow. As we hang on to hope, it will keep us from being carried away by the currents of life circumstances and pressures. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor… (Hebrews 6:19 NLT). We can trust God to keep His promises because He is faithful. He will fulfill each and every one. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. ( Romans 5:5 NLT) Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.
