Feast on The Word

Image
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “ that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD. They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, but shall not find it.” — Amos 8:11-12 (NKJV) Feast on the Word of God daily, while it is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. (See Roman 10:8). Treasure His Word in your heart, that you may not sin against Him. (See Psalms 119:11) The Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (See Psalms 119:105) The Holy Scriptures show us the way to go. How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! (Psalms 119:103 NASB1995) I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure. (Psalms 119:147 & 162  NLT)

Exalt His Nme

Image
“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not dread; For Yah—Yahweh Himself—is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.” Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, “Give thanks to Yahweh, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted.” — Isaiah 12:2-4 (LSB) The God Most High, (El Elyon) is above all, higher than any mountain that stands before you. Elohim, our Creator wants you in relationship, not a religion. We are in a love covenant with Him, by the blood of Yeshua, not a contract. Covenants are forever, while contracts can be broken. May Yahweh occupy first place in your heart. The things of this world are temporary and can never bring lasting satisfaction. They always leave us wanting more. Yahweh is the Everlasting God, and He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” (See Hebrews 13:5 LSB) God is our refuge and streng...

Hear the Word

Image
“Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD, “When I will send a famine on the land, not a famine for bread or a thirst for water, but rather for hearing the words of the LORD.” — Amos 8:11 (NASB1995) May we keep our ears open to hear the word of the LORD, while we have the opportunity. For the word of God is living, active and full of power… (See Hebrews 4:12 AMP) The word which goes forth from the mouth of the LORD, will not return to Him empty, without accomplishing what He desires, and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. (See Isaiah 55:11) But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. (James 1:22 AMP) Jesus replied, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’” — Matthew 4:4 (AMP...

Trust God

Image
Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the LORD means safety. — Proverbs 29:25 (NLT) Don’t look to people to validate your worth or evaluate how well you are doing. Our heavenly Father created us wonderful and with purpose. He chose us before He created the foundation of the world and He has good plans for each one of us. Let us humble ourselves before the LORD and He will lift us up in due time. May we surrender our will to His will and His ways. Confidently trust in the LORD and do good. And those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not abandoned those who seek You. — Psalm 9:10 (AMP)

Help in Every Situation

Image
I drew you to myself from the ends of the earth and called you from its farthest corner. I say to you: ‘You are my servant; I have chosen you. I have not rejected you! Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with my strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with my victorious right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:9-10 (TPT) Have no fear, for our mighty God is always near. Cast down any anxious thoughts. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and not your circumstances. He alone is my safe place; his wraparound presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? (Psalm 62:2 TPT) Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. (Psalm 62:5-6 NLT)

Acknowledge Him

Image
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. — Proverbs 3:6 (NASB) May we acknowledge God in all we do and say. In the use of our time, talents, gifts, finances, etc., let us recognize and appreciate the Source. By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) God is a very gracious Giver. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down to us from God our Father. (See James 1:17)  As we continually seek God's will in all we do, He will show us which path to take. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. — Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)

“Peace be with You”

Image
So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, “Peace be with you.” — John 20:19 (NASB) The LORD gives his people strength; the LORD blesses his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11 CSB) …let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NLT) The Amplified Bible says peace is the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him. Let us walk through each day with Him. Stay aware of His Presence, with you, and you will abide in His peace. In His Presence, we are empowered to overcome the troubles and trials of this world. “ Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful. ” — John 14:27 (CSB)

Seek & Find

Image
Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NASB) The LORD will be found by a heart that is genuinely seeking Him. In Jeremiah 29:14 (MSG), He says, “Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.” May our ears be open to hear His still small voice beckoning us to come to Him. As Jesus said in John 10:27 (NKJV), “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” When we fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, we can run with endurance the race God has set before us, knowing that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

Learn to Rely on God

Image
We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. — 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT) Whenever you go through troubles of any kind, do not lean on your own strength and knowledge, but rely on God and His power that is at work in you. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. When you are burdened beyond measure, draw strength from the LORD and totally trust God to carry your load. When all seems lost, put your hope in the LORD and you will not be disappointed. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally —not a bad idea since he’s the God who ra...

Believe & Worship

Image
So the people believed; and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel and that He had looked on their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshiped . — Exodus 4:31 (NKJV) When Moses and Aaron told the Israelites about God’s promise to bring them out of slavery, they believed and worshiped God. However, when Pharaoh made their work conditions worse, they became discouraged and beaten down in spirit. (Exodus 6:9) When God has spoken a promise to you and circumstances appear to grow worse, know that His light shines brightest in times of darkness. He is working for your good. What looks like a setback may actually be a setup for God to show Himself strong and mighty on your behalf. Continue to believe and worship God at all times, regardless of how things may appear. Just as God brought the children of Israel out with favor (Exodus 12:35-36), He will deliver you. Amen!

He's All Sufficient

Image
‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. — Jeremiah 32:17 (NKJV) Don’t let the enemy hijack your hope, nor let your faith be shipwrecked. God is bigger than any challenge, circumstance or storm that comes your way. God is El Shaddai, the all sufficient One.  Nothing is too difficult for our Heavenly Father. You cannot fail with God on your side.

More of HIM!

Image
He must increase, but I must decrease.  — John 3:30 (NKJV) Need more of God in your life? What about in your heart? This is the assigned moment for him to move into the center, while we slip off to the sidelines (John 3:30 MSG). Today is the day, now is the time, give God complete access to all of you: your heart, your thoughts, your mouth, etc. May we be led by His Spirit, in all that we do and say, then we can experience His fullness in our lives. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9 NKJV).

Don't Worry About It!

And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. — Luke 12:29 (NIV) “What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving ” (Luke 12:29, MSG). Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:31-32, NLT). And His Kingdom is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17, NLT).

The God of Our Strength

Vindicate me, O God,
 and plead my cause against an ungodly nation;
Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! For You are the God of my strength;
Why do You cast me off?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?  — Psalm 43:1-2 (NKJV) The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people (Psalm 68:35). We  must rely on the STRENGTH of our Lord. Our flesh may fail, but God is the strength of our hearts (Psalm 73:26). If you think God has tossed you aside or walked out on you, that is a lie from the enemy. “With us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles” (2 Chronicles 32:8). Go in the strength of the LORD, our mighty God. His strength empowers us to overcome difficulties and live victorious lives.

Rescued & Raised!

God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. Colossians 1:13-14 (The Message) Before I gave my life to Jesus, I walked down one dead-end alley after another, and never read the warning signs posted along the way. I made the same mistakes over and over again, and even fell into some dark dungeons from time to time. But praise God, He rescued us! God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). Our heavenly Father delivered us out of darkness and called us to live in His wonderful light and walk on the path that leads to eternal life. Hallelujah!

Lacking Nothing

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4 (NKJ) Let us see the challenges that come our way as an opportunity to strengthen our faith and develop the fruit of patience. After we have persevered and patience has been fully developed, we will be perfect, complete and lacking nothing. Glory to God!

Weak or Weary?

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29 (NIV) The Creator of the earth gives breath to all people. The everlasting God renews the strength of the weary as they hope in Him. When the weak call on the LORD, He gives them power to withstand the forces that work against them. God has an everlasting supply of power and strength and He willingly gives to all who ask. Do you need to be energized by the LORD today? Just ask. Love, Jackie
