All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. — 2 Samuel 14:14 (NLT) A woman from Tekoa who had a reputation for great wisdom (See 2 Samuel 14:2), spoke these words to King David, in regards to the situation with his son, Absalom. However, Yahweh does not drive us away from Him, when we sin. His call is always to come near to Him, with a humble and repentant heart. In Numbers 9:17, the children of Israel refused to obey Yahweh, and did not remember His wondrous deeds which He performed among them. So they became stubborn and in their rebellion they appointed a leader to return to their bondage (slavery in Egypt). But Yahweh is a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness, and He did not forsake them.  Seek Yahweh while He may be found; Call upon Hi...

Then He said to Moses, “Come up to the LORD, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel, and you shall worship at a distance. Moses alone, however, shall come near to the LORD, but they shall not come near, nor shall the people come up with him.” — Exodus 24:1-2 (NASB1995) The Israelites had to worship God at a distance. Only Moses was allowed approach the LORD. Today, we have the extreme privilege and honor to have a close, intimate relationship with YAHWEH. Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. (James 4:8 AMP)

War broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought the Dragon. The Dragon and his Angels fought back, but were no match for Michael. They were cleared out of Heaven, not a sign of them left. The great Dragon—ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray—thrown out, and all his Angels thrown out with him, thrown down to earth. — Revelation 12:7-9 (MSG) Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 NIV) Don’t be led astray. Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:7-8)

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! — Psalm 95:6-7 (NLT) Of all the voices you hear today, listen to the voice of the LORD. It will be His voice that comforts you in the midst of the storm. His voice will give the direction and wise guidance you need. When others reject you, it's His voice that calls you to come near to Him. In Isaiah 55:3 He says, “Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live... ” He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Matthew 11:15)

Then Hezekiah answered and said, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, come near, and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD.” So the assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings. — 2 Chronicles 29:31 (NKJV) God’s people were told to come near after the priests brought out all the debris they found in the temple of the LORD (2 Chronicles 29:16). Let us remove from our hearts (His temple), anything that doesn’t belong. Any unforgiveness, any offense, rebellion or pride. Consider it rubbish. Be of a willing heart to let it go and come near to the living God. No matter where you're at today, the LORD is saying, “Come closer!”
