Don't Stray

Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. — Isaiah 53:4-6 (NASB1995) May we not be like sheep who stray away from the good Shepherd. As a disciple of Christ, make a decision to follow Yeshua and stay close to Him, at all times. He gave His all for us, let us give our all to Him (our minds, our will, our ways, etc.). Instead of turning to our own way, let us turn to the Word of God. Psalms 119:66-68 (NASB1995) says: Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. You are good and do good; Teach me Y...

Listen, Learn & Live

Image
Thus says the LORD: “For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept His commandments. Their lies lead them astray, lies which their fathers followed.” — Amos 2:4 (NKJV) Listening to lies will lead us astray. The devil is a liar and the father of lies. He does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. (See John 8:44 NASB1995) Know the truth and the truth will make you free. In John 8:31-32 (NASB1995), Yeshua said: “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” May we listen to, learn and live according to the Word of God. For the LORD has magnified His word above all His name. (See Psalms 138:2 NKJV) Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness... (See Isaiah 5:20 NASB1995) I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate You...

Know His Ways

Image
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’”  — Hebrews 3:7-10 (NKJV) Instead of trying to keep up with the ways of this world, take great delight in learning and understanding the ways of Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) Psalm 16:11 says, He will make known to us the path of life. May we follow His ways and never go astray in our hearts. For the ways of the LORD are right; The righteous walk in them… (See Hosea 14:9). Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. (Hebrews 3:12 NASB1995) …we ...

Don't Stray

All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. — Isaiah 53:6 (NASB1995) May we never stray away from Yahweh. There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. (Proverbs 14:12 NLT) He will show us the path of life. (See Psalm 16:11a AMP) In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. (Proverbs 12:28 NASB1995) …the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. (Proverbs 4:18 NASB1995) When we are teachable, He will make His ways known to us, and guide us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3 & 25:4 NASB1995) Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:6 NLT) Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:27 NLT)  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him r...

All for Us

Image
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;  The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. — Isaiah 53:5 (NASB) JESUS has borne our griefs, and He has carried our sorrows and pains. (Isiah 53:4) He was beaten and bruised so we could be whole. And by His stripes we are healed. It was His love for us that held Him to the cross. He gave His all to save us. Like wayward sheep, we have all wandered astray. Each of us has turned from God’s paths and chosen our own way; even so, Yahweh laid the guilt of our every sin upon him. (Isaiah 53:6 TPT) JESUS is the Way back to the Father. Isaiah 53:1 asks: “ Who has believed our report?” Believe today. JESUS invites all people to come to the Father through Him, and be made whole.

Draw Near & Abide

Image
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. — James 4:8 (NLT) With the flurry of activity that comes during the Christmas season, remember to draw near to God and abide in Him. When we draw near to God, He draws near to us. He is good and He does good. The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:9) His nearness is our good. As long as we continually draw near to our Heavenly Father, we are good. And if we wander off...  The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8) But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do . — Psalm 73:28 (NLT)

Stay the Course

Image
The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. — Psalm 25:8 (NLT) Psalm 145:9  (NKJV) says, The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. God shows no favoritism. (Acts 10:24 NLT) He is good to ALL. Circumstances may not always appear good, but remember that God is good and the plans He has for you are good. We may not be able to make sense of some things in our limited, human understanding. However, let us stay the course with Christ. He has a path for each person. Commit to closely following Him and take each step by faith. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. (1 Peter 2:21 NLT)

Stay on the Proper Path

The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. — Psalm 25:8 (NLT) Put your hope in the LORD. Travel steadily along His path (Psalm 37:34). Even though we encounter obstacles, His way is a path of peace and it leads to everlasting life. Ignore the distractions and detours which will try to take you off the proper path. Proverbs 15:21 says, a sensible person stays on the right path. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:6).
