Manna for Your Morning

A great windstorm arises, and the waves were rushing into the boat. The boat was beginning to fill up. But Yeshua was in the back of the boat, sleeping on a pillow. They wake Him up and say to Him, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are perishing?” — Mark 4:37-38 (TLV) What a question! Never think for one second that our mighty Savior doesn’t care about you. In Mark 1:41 (TLV), Yeshua is moved with compassion to touch and heal a man with leprosy. Matthew 9:36 says, when He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. In Mark 4:40, He asked the disciples, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” When you encounter storms of any kind, may you have faith to know that Yeshua, the Prince of Peace is able to calm any storm, just as He did in Mark 4:39. God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. [pause].  — Psalm 46:1-3 (VOICE) When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. In God, whose word I praise;
 In God I have put my trust; I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4 AMP) Yahweh is a very present help in times of trouble. He is a safe shelter. He gives us strength to stand, in spite of the difficulties we face. If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? (See Romans 8:31 AMP)

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. — Philippians 1:6 (NLT) The Word says that God began “ the ” good work in you. It’s not just any good work. It is the specific work that YAHWEH determined to do in you from the very beginning. Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) says: For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Thank YAHWEH that it’s His plans and purpose for us that will prevail, and not the enemy’s. I like that Philippians 1:6 says, God will continue His work. The work is His. As long as we live, He is at work in us. Stay submitted to His will and the good work, He is doing in you and He is faithful to complete it. He never gives up on us. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (Philippians 2:13 NLT) The good work is within us. So that doesn't mean...

To truly know him meant letting go of everything from my past and throwing all my boasting on the garbage heap. It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that I may be enriched in the reality of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace him as Lord in all of his greatness. — Philippians 3:8 (TPT) We are enriched as we personally come to know Jesus the Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, in all of His glory. May we embrace Him today and every day. May we embrace Him today and every day. Jesus said to all of his followers, “If you truly desire to be my disciple, you must disown your life completely, embrace my ‘cross’ as your own, and surrender to my ways.” (Luke 9:23 TPT) Consider everything else as rubbish in order to gain Christ. Then Jesus said, “I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness.” — John 8:12 (TPT)

 “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. — Habakkuk 2:4 (NLT) Let us walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— (See 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP) In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:6 AMP) Know that the LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (See Psalm 34:17-18 NLT)

What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us? He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? — Romans 8:31-32 (AMP) With God on our side, we have no need to worry or be anxious. When you focus on the problem, you feel downcast, defeated and hopeless. Instead of going down that path, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, our living hope, and be elevated to see your circumstances from God’s perspective: above your current state of affairs. Our God is mighty and above all, in addition, He is gracious and merciful. Amen. But as for me, I will look expectantly for the LORD and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. — Micah 7:7 (AMP)

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. — Galatians 5:16-17 (NLT) The ways of this world and the feelings of our flesh go against God’s ways. The flesh is selfish and wants what it wants, when it wants it, but as children of God, we are not to live our lives in subjection to the world or our flesh. God’s ways are higher than our ways. Let us choose to be led by the Holy Spirit of God. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) Going against the Spirit is like trying to walk against the wind. Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. — Psalm 55:22 (NASB) Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. (Psalm 68:19 NIV) Release your burdens to the Lord our God and rely on Him. Rely on His unfailing love, to be your support. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” (Psalm 91:2 AMP) Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. ”  (Matthew 11:28 NLT) His yoke is easy and His burden is light.” (Matthew 11:30). When we come to Him, we are refreshed and strengthened.

“For the eyes of the LORD are [looking favorably] upon the righteous (the upright), and His ears are attentive to their prayer (eager to answer), but the face of the LORD is against those who practice evil.” — 1 Peter 3:12 (AMP) When we set our hearts to do what is right, the LORD is looking favorably upon us. Proverbs 11:27a (NKJV) says, He who earnestly seeks good finds favor. And his favor lasts for a lifetime! (Psalm 30:5) Not only are His eyes upon us, but His ears are open to hear us, so let us be unceasing and persistent in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17 AMP) because He is eager to answer. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (James 5:16 (NLT)

There’s no telling who will hate you because of me. Even so, every detail of your body and soul—even the hairs of your head!—is in my care; nothing of you will be lost. Staying with it—that’s what is required. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry; you’ll be saved. — Luke 21:17-19 (MSG) Stand firm on your faith in Jesus, the living Word. Let us stay submitted to His will and His ways, knowing that He is able to take care of everything that concerns us. Our endurance will make the difference between being poor and pitiful or richly satisfied with all things that pertain to life and godliness. Holding onto our faith will take us from being weak and weary to being strong and being continually refreshed and made new. Instead of being victims of circumstances, we will be victorious overcomers. Instead of losing, we will win, in the eternal realm! Instead of being sorry, we will be saved! May we be courageous and remain confident in Christ and all He has done for us.

God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. — Psalm 18:32-33 (NLT) God arms us with strength to go through the low valleys of life and stand strong and secure on the mountaintop. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29 NIV). In His strength we can crush an army; with our God we can scale any wall (Psalm 18:28-29 NLT). May we go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power] (Psalm 84:7 AMP). Amen.

“Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night.” — Genesis 31:42 (NKJV) Jacob was in his Uncle Laban’s house twenty years; he served him fourteen years for his two daughters, and six years for his flock. Laban deceived him and changed his wages ten times Genesis 31:7, 41).  In Genesis 31:29, Laban says God spoke to him and said, “Be careful that you speak to Jacob neither good nor bad.” Whatever hardships, troubles and afflictions you may be facing, know that God sees your affliction and He will deliver you. When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles (Psalm 34:17, AMP). The Message Bible says it like this: Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you.

But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) Do not become weary and discouraged while doing good. Wait with your hope anchored in the LORD and you will find new strength. He awakened you this morning, with a purpose and a plan for your life. Spread your wings and soar like an eagle toward all that God has given you to do and be!

So I turned to the Lord God and looked to him for help. I prayed, pleaded, and fasted in sackcloth and ashes. —  Daniel 9:3 (GW) When Daniel learned from the Scriptures that Jerusalem was going to be in ruins, he turned to the Lord. Who do you turn to in time of need? Turn to the everlasting, Almighty God and look to Him for help. Before you put your trust in man, or medication, trust God.  In Daniel 10:12, an angel told the prophet, “God has heard everything that you said ever since the first day you decided to humble yourself in front of your God...” Humble yourself before our powerful God and pray and plead with Him.

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT) Always be joyful. Don't let the enemy steal your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Pray continually. When you call upon the Lord, He will answer you. Give thanks in all circumstances. Have an attitude of gratitude, as you thank God for who He is and what He has done. This is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

“Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Psalm 50:14-15 (NLT) Let your sacrifice to God be a thankful heart. Give thanks to the Most High for his unfailing love and undying compassion. Thank Him for His awesome deeds. And be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Love, Jackie

Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh and said, "It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father's household." Genesis 41:51 (NIV) Joseph's brothers sold him as a slave. Then Joseph spent years in prison when he had committed no crime, but God was able to make him forget all his trouble. God will deliver you from all your troubles. He will turn your sorrow to joy and your wailing into dancing. Psalm 30:5 says, weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie
