Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession; — Hebrews 3:1 (NASB1995) Let us think carefully about our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah. Hebrews 3:1 (NIV), says to fix your thoughts on Jesus. He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. — Psalm 46:1-2 (TPT) ‘Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly . — Psalm 112:6-8 (NLT) We were designed to need the LORD, each moment of the day. If you are overwhelmed with life events, you are probably trying to do it on your own. Cast all your cares on the LORD, because He cares for you. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB) ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ — Isaiah 41:10 (NASB)

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) Great is the faithfulness of our awesome God. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: (Hebrews 10:35-36 NKJV) So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT)

Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. — Romans 8:34 (NIV) Jesus is like a big brother, who takes up for his brothers and sisters. When the enemy tries to condemn us, Jesus speaks grace and mercy over us. He covers us with His blood, which washes our sins away. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 NIV) No matter what you are going through today, you are more than a conqueror through him who loves you so much. Be absolutely convinced that nothing shall separate you from God’s love.

“You’re blessed when you get your inside world—your mind and heart—put right. Then you can see God in the outside world. — Matthew 5:8 (MSG) A good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. (Matthew 12:35a). When we treasure God’s Word in our hearts, our minds will dwell on the right things and our actions and words will line up with God’s Word and His will. Then we are able to see clearly what He is doing and desires to do in our outside world.

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. — 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (MSG) We can thank God no matter what happens because we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28 NLT) And in the meantime, you can be sure that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NASB) Amen. Now get your smile on!

Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. — John 19:30 (NAS) When Jesus gave up His spirit, on the cross, it was a complete work. He paid the debt for all our sins, past, present and future. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:4-5, NKJV). Let us walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus established for us.

Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us... — Daniel 3:17 (NKJV) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were bound and cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace for not serving the god of King Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 3:21). But GOD sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him (Daniel 3:28). The fire had no power over their bodies; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. When you face fiery trials, keep your trust in God and He will deliver you too!

So, then, brothers and sisters, don’t let anyone move you off the foundation of your faith. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.  — 1 Corinthians 15:58 (GW) Stand firm! Do not be moved off the solid foundation of your faith in Jesus Christ, the Rock eternal. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory (Romans 5:2). Stay grounded and steady in that bond of trust, constantly tuned in to the Message, careful not to be distracted or diverted (Colossians 1:23, The Message).

But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. Psalm 59:16 (NLT) Sing about God's incomparably great power, that is at work in you. By His power, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Sing with joy about God's unfailing love. His love surrounds us like a strong mountain and it will not be shaken. The LORD, our God is a place of safety when we are in distress. Praise the LORD!

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God. He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. Psalm 146:5, 7-8 (NLT) Hope in the Lord because He is your helper. It is better to put your confidence in the God of Israel than in man. The Lord feeds the hungry and sets the prisoners free. He opens the eyes of the blind and lifts up those who are down. Keep your hope in the Lord. He is forever faithful.

As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father had been. 1 Kings 11:4 (NIV) King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines, and his wives led him astray. What a tragedy when hearts turn away from the one true God. To stay fully devoted to the LORD, we must guard our hearts because the things we allow into our hearts determine the course of our lives (Proverbs 4:23 NLT). We guard our hearts by being very careful of what we look at and what we listen to. As we read the Word and sing His praises we are laying good soil in our hearts that will cultivate a harvest of faithfulness and loyalty. Love, Jackie
