Rejoice!

Image
This is the day which Yahweh has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalms 118:24 (LSB) The fact that Yahweh woke us up this morning is a reason to rejoice. The lovingkindnesses of Yahweh indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 LSB) Thank God for the fresh new mercies He poured out on us this morning. Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near. (Philippians 4:4-5 AMP)

Reaching Forward

Image
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 3:13-14 (NASB1995) In order to move onward and upward with Yeshua, we need to forget what lies behind. Forget those who did you wrong, who falsely accused you, or abandoned you, etc. We need to let go of any material things or accomplishments we hold onto so dearly, and strive to know and become personally acquainted with our Lord and Savior. In Philippians 3:13 (TPT), the Apostle Paul says: “… I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.”  Another thing that will enable us to press on toward the call of God is stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, and run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, looking away from all that will...

Speak Life

Image
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. — Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) Let us choose to speak words of life, wisdom, and truth. A soothing tongue [speaking words that build up and encourage] is a tree of life, but a perversive tongue [speaking words that overwhelm and depress] crushes the spirit. (Proverbs 15:4 AMP) Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. (Psalms 34:12-14 NLT) Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person. (Colossians 4:6 NASB1995) Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips. — Psalms 141:3 (NASB1995)

Our Shield

Image
But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. — Psalm 3:3 (NASB1995) YAHWEH is a shield to all those who take refuge and trust in Him. (2 Samuel 22:31 AMP) He wraps around us like an impenetrable shield. (See Psalm 3:3 VOICE) He is a shield of protection against the flaming arrows of the evil one. The Eternal is the source of my strength and the shield that guards me. When I learn to rest and truly trust Him, He sends His help. This is why my heart is singing! I open my mouth to praise Him, and thankfulness rises as song. (Psalm 28:7 VOICE) For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. (Psalm 84:11 NASB1995)

Bless the LORD

Image
“ With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you’ve done for me? You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease. You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life. You’ve crowned me with love and mercy. You satisfy my every desire with good things. You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again like a flying eagle in the sky! ” — Psalms 103:1-5 (TPT) Higher than the highest heavens— that’s how high your tender mercy extends! Greater than the grandeur of heaven above is the greatness of your loyal love, towering over all who fear you and bow down before you! (Psalm 103:11 TPT) …the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his command...

The Way

Image
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus is the only way to the Father. He is the truth that makes us free, the living Word of God. He is the resurrection and the life (See John 11:25) …to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— (John 1:12 AMP) It is through him that we live and function and have our identity; (Acts 17:28a TPT) May we follow Jesus, every moment of the day. “ Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”  — Matthew 7:13-14 (NASB)

He is Near

Image
for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ — Acts 17:28 (NASB) I have heard it said many times, “When God is all you have, you realize God is all you need.” God gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. (Acts 17:25 NLT) He determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our habitation, (Acts 17:26). His purpose in all this was that people of every culture and religion would search for this ultimate God, grope for Him in the darkness, as it were, hoping to find Him. Yet, in truth, God is not far from any of us. (Acts 17:27 VOICE) Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.  — Isaiah 55:6 (NASB)

God is Good!

Image
God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help, no matter how desperate the trouble. — Nahum 1:7 (MSG) How kind the LORD is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! (Psalm 116:5 NLT) O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NASB) No matter what set of circumstances you are facing right now, remember that God is good all the time. He is higher than any mountain before you. And His love is deeper than any pit you may have fallen into. Seek refuge in Him. The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. — Nahum 1:7 (NLT)

Advance & Occupy!

Image
‘Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!’ — Deuteronomy 1:21 (NLT) Wherever God sends you out today, whether it be the marketplace, your job, business, home or school, it is the land He has placed in front of you. Let us go and occupy it. We are to invade the land with His light, His love, His joy and His peace. Let us infiltrate the earth with His mercy and grace, kindness and compassion. As good soldiers of Jesus the Christ, let us continually advance and occupy the land He has given to us. Be strong and very courageous, for the LORD is with you, and He will give you the land.

Be Strong & Courageous!

Image
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. — 2 Chronicles 32:7-8 (NKJV) No need to be discouraged or fearful, our mighty God is with us and the battle belongs to Him. With God on our side, who can stand against us? He always leads us in triumph in Christ… (2 Corinthians 2:14). Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. (Psalm 105:4 NIV) When we stand with Him, we win!

Get Back Up Again

Image
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Even though get pressured from every direction, we never have to let the enemy crush our spirits. When we are perplexed, we know that God sees the whole picture and He is working for our good. When the enemy hunts us down, we never stand alone because God never abandons us. Events of this life may cause us to be battered and bruised, but no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We may get knocked down, but our heavenly Father gives us the strength to get back up again. So do not lose heart. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17, NKJV).

“It is well!”

Image
Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’” And she answered, “It is well.” — 2 Kings 4:26 (NKJV) The son of this Shunammite woman had just sat on her lap and died. How could she say, it is well? She was not looking at the way circumstances appeared at the moment. She was looking with eyes of faith, that God would bring her son back to life. Because she believed in her heart, and didn’t speak the negative, but took action, her son’s life was restored. Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). No matter what you are going through today, “It is well!” Our God reigns and He is on your side.

Fight, Run & Remain Faithful!

Image
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. — 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV) We fight the good fight of faith as we continue to speak God's Word, instead of the negative report the world gives us. We fight the good fight as we pray without ceasing. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16). Run your race, with your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. This is the only race worth running! And remain faithful to the Lord and the call He has placed upon your life.

Little by Little

And the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you. — Deuteronomy 7:22 (NKJV) You shall not be terrified of them; for the LORD your God, the great and awesome God, is among you (Deuteronomy 7:21). Just as the Israelites occupied their Promised Land, little by little, you will possess your promise land, piece by piece. The LORD will deliver you from your enemies. You have been at this mountain long enough. It is time to advance and occupy your promise land. The gates of hell will not prevail over you, child of God!

Our Only Aim

I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. — Acts 20:23-24 (NIV) May our only aim be to finish the race and complete the task given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter what hardships you may suffer in this life, do not be moved. Our lives are worth nothing unless we complete the mission given to us. Keep the main thing, the main thing and always share with others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Commit Everything

Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:5-6 (NLT) Commit every action you take and every word that comes out of your mouth to the Lord. Make sure every thought you dwell on honors God. When we trust God enough to consistently follow His ways, we abide in His wonderful, loving Presence and He helps us fulfill our purpose.

He Keeps Watch

The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. Psalm 121:5-8 (NLT) The Lord keeps watch over you, whether you're coming in or going out. He shields you from harm and guards your very life. Praise the Lord for His continual concern. Love, Jackie

With All Your Heart

For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people,  because the LORD was pleased to make you his own.  But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 1 Samuel 12: 22, 24 (NIV) May we serve the LORD faithfully, with all our hearts. Let us hold no one or nothing more dear in our affections than "Abba Father." It pleased Him, to bring us into His family that we might be called children of God and He does not reject His people. Therefore, be completely devoted to the LORD at all times, because He first loved us and sent His only Son to save us. Wow! What great things He has done for us. From My Heart, Love, Jackie
