Manna for Your Morning

The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, — 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (AMP) May we renew our minds with the Word of God and cast down every argument and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. — Philippians 2:5-8 (NASB) For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Philippians 2:9-10 NASB) Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. (Psalm 95:6-7) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:8,10)

And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” — Mark 4:37-38 (NKJV) Jesus loved us so much, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. (Philippians 2:7 NLT). He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The punishment required for our well-being fell on Him… (Isaiah 53:5). The Message Bible says, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion. (Philippians 2:8). He did it all for you. Have no doubt. JESUS CARES about you. No matter what storms come, He is in your boat and He is not asleep. … casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV)

“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” — Luke 22:42 (NKJV) The commitment and submission Jesus had to the Father, led Him to give His life to save a lost world. For the joy that was set before Him, Jesus was obedient to the Father’s will and endured the pain of the cross (Hebrews 12:2). May we fully submit to God, and yield to His will and His ways. It may not always “feel good,” but after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you (1 Peter 5:10). Just like Jesus, we have a future full of hope and joy, that grows brighter and brighter. Stay committed to the Father's will and the rest of your life will be the absolute BEST of your life!

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;  — Isaiah 1:18-19 (NKJV) Psalm 84:11 tells us that the LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. To know what the right thing to do is and not do it, is sin. Let us consistently do what is right, with a willing and obedient heart and we shall eat the good of the land.

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”  — Luke 22:41-42 (NKJV) Jesus' selfless sacrifice upon the cross brought salvation to all mankind. Just as Jesus fulfilled His mission by being obedient to the Father's will, let us complete our God given assignments. Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (Hebrews 12:1). Whose salvation is depending on your obedience?
