Acknowledge and honor Him as the Sovereign God, the all-powerful Creator of the universe. Nothing or no one can compare with the LORD. And He does not change (See Malachi 3:6). They can build up or tear down. Words form perceptions and establish beliefs. They can create hope and expectation. With your words you can crush someone’s spirit or you can encourage and support. Proverbs 12:18 says, the tongue of the wise promotes health. Words can be used to deceive or they can reveal truth. Proverbs 10:31 says: The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out. What kind of environment are you creating with the words that come out of your mouth? Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV) May we speak words of life and truth.

Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! — Psalms 46:10 (AMPC) There are some situations in our lives that we have to let be. The more we try to force our will, the worse things sometimes get, and we end up stressing ourselves out. Instead, let us be still and understand that God will work things out at the right time and in His way. Cease striving and acknowledge El Elyon, the God Most High. He is exalted above the heavens and the earth. He is above every mountain and valley, and every storm we go through. He is Elohim, the all-powerful One, Creator of the universe and all it contains. You will find Him when you search for Him with all your heart. May we have eyes that see clearly, listening ears, and understand with our hearts, all that God speaks to us. Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. — Psalm 139:1-3 (NASB) God knows us better than we know ourselves. We are an open book to Him, there is no reason to try and hide. Our heavenly Father knows everything about us and He still loves us. Why set your hopes on the temporal things of this world for fulfillment. They are fleeting, and will soon disappear. However, His gifts are eternal. Abba Father continually pours out grace and compassion upon us. We receive a constant flow of His love, and it will never fail us. His mercies are new every morning. Stake your confidence in God and His love for you. And when we allow Him to fill us, we experience an overflow that splashes on those around us, and enriches their lives. Live in the overflow!

Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated? But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. — Matthew 15:17-18 (NASB) What comes out of your mouth reveals the core of your heart. (Matthew 15:18 TPT). If we want to speak words of life, let us treasure and store the Word of God in our hearts. (Psalm 119:11).  Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose. (Proverbs 18:21 MSG) I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life , that both you and your descendants may live; (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Press on to know the Lord for yourself. He wants a personal relationship with each one of us. As we set our affections on the LORD, a Sunday morning sermon will just scratch the surface. It will not be enough to satisfy. Daily delight yourself in the  LORD, and you will experience fullness of joy in His Presence, and pleasures forevermore.. Seek and deeply long for the LORD and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. (Psalm 105:4 AMP)

But I have this [charge] against you, that you have left your first love [you have lost the depth of love that you first had for Me]. — Revelation 2:4 (AMP) When Jesus spoke about end times, in Matthew 24:12, He said, the love of many will grow cold. May your love for Christ grow deeper and stronger each day. Let your love for Him be hot, passionate and actively growing. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. (Ephesians 3:17-18 NLT) Just as Christ's love for us caused Him to respond by giving His life to save us. Let us respond to His love by giving our lives and hearts to Him.

You know everything I do. — Psalm 139:1-3 (NLT) The people around us may not always understand us, but our heavenly Father knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we are going to say before we speak a word (Psalm 139:4). Our hearts are like an open book to Him. There is no reason to pretend. He lavishes His love on you right where you are today. His thoughts about you are so great, they cannot be numbered! (Psalm 139:17) God still loves you in spite of any shortcomings. His love never stops. Instead of beating yourself up for past mistakes, open your heart to receive His love and grace. Every day of your life was recorded in His book. Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. — Ecclesiastes 11:5 (NLT) Our relationship with God is based on His love for us and our ability to trust Him, in all areas of our lives. We like to ask God “why?” but even more important than “why?” is “Who?” When we know that God is with us, that He is for us and that nothing is too difficult for Him, we can depend on Him. No matter what the question, challenge or situation, JESUS is the answer. He is our deliverer, refuge, and redeemer. He is our strength, our joy and our peace. He is a wonderful Counselor and mighty God! Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. ( Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT)

Let the thoughts racing through your head come to a halt. Know that He is the great, “I AM.” God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 NIV). Recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong (Psalm 96:7 NLT). Nothing is too difficult for Him. Understand that He is always present. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 28:20, “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, and He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:6 AMP)

Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. — Psalm 34:19 (AMP) In this world, you will have trouble. (John 16:33). There will be circumstances that we just don't understand. However, our consolation is knowing that the LORD will deliver us out of them all. With God on our side, no one can stand against us. Nothing is too difficult for our mighty God. Troubles will come and troubles will go, but through it all let us continue to seek the LORD. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” Psalm 27:8 (NKJV)

I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 (AMP) Are you going to get caught up in the busyness of “doing” Christmas (process) or be still and know our great God (purpose)? In the midst of all the decorating, baking and party-going, may we take time out to be still and exalt God. Thank our heavenly Father for sending His only Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Recognize and celebrate all He has done for us. It’s in the stillness that we are able to hear His voice. When we are still, and give our attention to Him, we can clearly see the answers we seek. In the stillness, we are captivated by His love! Delight yourself in His Presence.

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. — Daniel 10:12 (NKJV) At times it may seem that our prayers hit the ceiling and come tumbling back down, but we can be confident that every prayer we utter is heard in heaven. Those things that we have been praying for awhile, were heard the first day we prayed them. Let us praise God for the answer while we patiently wait for it to manifest in our lives. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16 NLT). Keep praying at all times and in every situation.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT) And which of you by being overly anxious and troubled with cares can add a cubit to his stature or a moment [unit] of time to his age [the length of his life]? (Luke 12:25 NLT). Instead of worrying, activate God's formula for peace: pray about everything + continually give thanks to God = experience peace. Amen!
