Renew Your Hope

Image
“So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.” — Psalms 78:7 (NLT) From one man God created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. (See Acts 17:26 NLT) The people of this generation are here for such a time as this. No matter what current circumstances may be, let us set our hope anew on Yahweh. He is faithful to equip us with all we need for doing His will. Keep on hoping for His help and praise Him more and more. (See Psalms 71:14 NLT) Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalms 31:23-24 NKJV)

Be Deeply Rooted

Image
Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One, Jesus the Lord, into your lives, continue to journey with Him and allow Him to shape your lives. Let your roots grow down deeply in Him, and let Him build you up on a firm foundation. Be strong in the faith, just as you were taught, and always spill over with thankfulness. — Colossians 2:6-7 (VOICE) Proverbs 12:12 (NKJV) says: the root of the righteous yields fruit. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. (Ephesians 3:16-17 NLT) Amen. Those who delight in the law of the LORD, and meditate on it day and night are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. (See Psalms 1:2-3 NLT) May we take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

Trust in Yahweh

Image
But as for me, I trust in You, O Yahweh, I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me. — Psalm 31:14-15 (LSB) Trust in Yahweh. We can take comfort in knowing that our times are in His hand. All of our days were written in His book before one of them came to be, so He has already handled the challenges you face today. And He promises us a glorious destination. Faith and patient endurance is what we need. We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. (James 5:11) I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place. (Psalm 31:7-8 NLT) Oh, love Yahweh, all you His holy ones! Yahweh guards the faithful but repays fully the one who acts in loft...

God is Good!

Image
O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His compassion and lovingkindness endure forever! — Psalm 107:1 (AMP) O Lord, You are good and ready to forgive; Your loyal love flows generously over all who cry out to You. (Psalm 86:5 VOICE) …the closer I am to You, my God, the better because life with You is good. O Lord, the Eternal, You keep me safe— I will tell everyone what You have done. (Psalm 73:28 VOICE) He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! (Psalm 103:3-5 NLT) Let your heart overflow with praise to the Eternal, for He is good, for His faithful love lasts forever. (Psalm 136:1 VOICE) And nothing can ever separate us from His loyal love. Lift up the Eternal our God in your hearts, and celebrate His goodness at His holy mountain, for the Eternal our God is holy, perfect and exalted in His power. (Psalm 99:9 VOICE) “Don’t becom...

Trust Completely

Image
Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. — Proverbs 3:5-6 (TPT) Human opinions will fluctuate, but the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken. (See Psalm 33:11 NLT) Don't fret. For the LORD knows the plans and thoughts He has for you. They are plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) Trust in the LORD and rely on Him in all situations. Put God first in everything you do, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. — Proverbs 16:9 (AMP)

Choose to Follow

Image
but we preach the crucified Messiah. The Jews stumble over him and the rest of the world sees him as foolishness. But for those who have been chosen to follow him, both Jews and Greeks, he is God’s mighty power, God’s true wisdom, and our Messiah. — 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 (TPT) Jesus was given as a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon and those who dwell in darkness from the prison. (See Isaiah 42:6-7) …He is able also to save forever (completely, perfectly, for eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to intercede and intervene on their behalf [with God]. (Hebrews 7:25 AMP) Jesus is light, and love and our only hope. Choose to follow Him. Jesus asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter spoke up, saying, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God!” — Mark 8:29 (TPT)

Depend on God

Image
People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in the LORD God you have a sure thing. — Isaiah 26:3 (MSG) As we continue in prayer and praise to our mighty God, He will keep us in perfect peace. When we worship the LORD, our worries flee, and His power fills the atmosphere. The sure thing we have with Jesus, is victory over this world. Fix your thoughts upon the Most High God and dedicate your hearts to Him.

Keep Pressing Forward

Image
So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. — Galatians 6:9 (NLT) We have an upward call of God on our lives. And no human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD. (Proverbs 21:30 NLT) Keep pressing forward. In Hebrews 10:38 God says “… if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. ” Do not grow weary in well doing. Wait on the LORD and He will renew your strength. Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. — Isaiah 40:31 (NASB)

Opportunity for Great Joy

Image
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. — James 1:2-4 (NLT) When troubles come, don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7 MSG) The opportunity for great joy is always there, when we look to Christ as our source, and not earthly circumstances. You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last det...

Worship!

Image
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: — Psalm 95:6-7 (NKJV) Let us worship the LORD, our Maker, with our whole hearts. Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness (Psalm 29:2).  We worship God for who He is. We praise Him for all He has done to bring healing and wholeness in our lives, all He is doing and all that He will do. Our worship is to go beyond Sunday morning and into all of the days He has given to us. Worship involves a continual acknowledgement that we are His, and that He is with us and for us; that He is above all. May we worship God in everything that we do. “All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah (Psalm 66:4)

The Best Pathway

Image
The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” — Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Our paths differ so let us not compare or judge one another’s journey. Know that God is guiding you along the best pathway for your life, to fulfill His purpose in you, and bring about the good plans He has just for you. Stay on the path, ignore the distractions and don’t take any detours. Never stop praying (1 Thessalonians 5:17, NLT). Never stop believing. Never stop standing on God’s Word and His wonderful promises. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18, NLT)

His Reassuring Presence

Image
God, investigate my life;     get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you;     even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back;     I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say     before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and you’re there,     then up ahead and you’re there, too—     your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful—     I can’t take it all in! — Psalm 139:1-6 (MSG) Though people may say one thing and do another, our God does not lie. He will never leave us nor abandon us. He is intimately involved in every detail of our lives. We are never out of His sight. No matter what we go through, He is there to reassure us. His Presence empowers us enables us to live a victorious, and fruitful life!

Wait as Long as He Says

Image
God, the one and only—I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I need comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, an impregnable castle: I’m set for life. — Psalm 62:1-2 (MSG) Let God and Him alone, occupy that number one spot in your heart, at all times. And after you have done all you can do, wait quietly before Him, with full expectation. All your days have been written in His book and that appointed time will come. For the vision is yet for an appointed time (Habakkuk 2:3). Everything has its own time, and there is a specific time for every activity under heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1, GW).

Empowered by Christ!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. — Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) The Amplified version says, I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD (Psalm 31:24). Empowered by Christ, you can conquer all!

Plug into the Power!

The Lord’s power was with his followers, and a large number of people believed and turned to the Lord. — Acts 11:21 (GW) We seldom fail to plug in our cell phones, iPads, iPods, and other electronic devices, so their batteries can be recharged. Let us faithfully plug into God and His Word, so we can receive power and strength to do His will. May we daily plug into Jesus, who is our Source, and recharge our batteries to their full potential! Amen.

B.C. vs. A.D.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me ... to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” - Luke 4:18-19 (NIV) The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ marks a very pivotal point in time, that compares to no other. Before Christ, the priests could not enter the holy place whenever they wanted (Leviticus 16:2). To come at the wrong time or with the wrong kind of offering meant death. After Jesus hung on that blood stained cross and said, “It is finished,” the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Jesus became the sacrifice for all, and the door was opened for believers, to enter the Holy Place and worship Almighty God. Those who accept Christ as their Savior can approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, where we receive mercy and find grace (Hebrews 4:16). In Jesus, we have been given access to the throne room of God and His Holy Spirit lives within us. What a beautiful gift and priceless treasure! Seize every opportunity to fellowship ...

Be Healed!

'For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' Acts 28:27 (NIV) Open your eyes to see the goodness of the LORD. It is all around you. Attune your ears to hear His gentle voice. Understand with all your heart, the breath and depth of God's eternal love for you. Then, turn toward the LORD and be healed from the inside out, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Love, Jackie

Sing for Joy

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. Psalm 92:1-2, 4 (NIV) Sing for joy as you proclaim God's love. His love watched over you as you slept last night and woke you up this morning. In His loving care He provides all that you need. Sing for joy as you declare the LORD's faithfulness at night. In faithfulness, He successfully guided you through another day. Sing for joy. It is good to praise the LORD. Love, Jackie
