Manna for Your Morning

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? — Psalms 42:1-2 (NASB1995) Today, we have the pleasure, privilege, and honor of humbly offering ourselves to Yahweh at all times. Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. (Hebrews 4:16 AMP) O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. — Psalms 63:1 (NASB1995)

“So no wonder we don’t give up. For even though our outer person gradually wears out, our inner being is renewed every single day. We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison,” — 2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (TPT) Don't despair. Whatever troubles we experience in this life, they are light and momentary. They will eventually come to pass. “Pour out all your worries and stress upon God and leave them there, for He always tenderly cares for you.” (See 1 Peter 5:7 TPT) 7 Since God cares for you with deepest affection, let Him carry all your burdens and worries. (See 1 Peter 5:7 VOICE & AMP)

The LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the LORD. Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; — Exodus 34:5-7a (NASB1995) Call on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God. His ear is always open to hear the cry of His people. (See Psalm 18:6 & 34:17) Moses and Aaron were among His priests, and Samuel was among those who called on His name; They called upon the LORD and He answered them. Thus says the LORD, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters, “Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” — Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 (NASB1995) YAHWEH knows how to rescue His people. He brought the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, by opening the waters and making a dry path through the sea. He drowned all of their enemies. (See Isaiah 43:17) God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him. (See 2 Peter 2:7 NLT) So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment. Then Moses said, “If you don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place. How will anyone know that you look favorably on me—on me and on your people—if you don’t go with us? For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” — Exodus 33:15-16 (NLT) Today, the LORD has promised to never leave or forsake His people. We are a chosen people, royal priests, and a holy nation for God’s very own possession. (See 1 Peter 2:9 NLT) His Presence dwelling inside of those who believe, is to distinguish us from all other people. So don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (See Romans 12:2 NLT)

“You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].” — Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. (Psalm 56:3 AMP) What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart, and I will always triumph as I trust his promises. (Psalm 56:4 TPT)

We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. — 2 Corinthians 3:18 (TPT) If you focus on yourself, you’ll only see the imperfections, the scars, the darkness. But if you forget about yourself and focus on the beauty of His radiance, then you will shine with His light. Don’t make the mistake of living a life focused on yourself. Forget yourself. Turn to Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”  — John 6:32-33 (NKJV) And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”  (John 6:35) Jesus is the bread of life, who gives life to the world. He is the only One who can satisfy our hunger. That emptiness inside our hearts, hungers for His presence, and nothing else will do. In Matthew 6:11, Jesus taught His disciples to pray: “Give us this day our daily bread” because He is the One who sustains our lives, day by day. In order to live full and satisfying lives, we must partake of Him everyday. So let us respond to Jesus, the same way His disciples did: They said to Him, “ Lord, give us this bread always .” (John 6:34)

He who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My words. — Matthew 11:15 (AMP) God has given us ears to hear and eyes to see. (Proverb 20:12) In the course of a day, we are bombarded with so many voices. In order to hear God's voice we need to turn a deaf ear to the voices of the world and tune our ears to His still small voice. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. (Psalm 29:4) Let the voice of the LORD override all the other voices you allow to fill your head. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. (Proverbs 3:6 MSG) … for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! (Psalm 95:7 NLT)

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” — Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV) The LORD is our Maker and we are the people of His pasture. (Psalm 95:6-7) We are His and He calls us by name. God says: “When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end— because I am God, your personal God, The Holy of Israel, your Savior.” (Isaiah 43:2-3 MSG) He makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters… (Isaiah 43:16 NKJV). No matter how bleak the situation may appear, our mighty God is making a way for you. He has not brought you this far to leave you now.

Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” — Acts 3:6 (NKJV) We may not have much when it comes to worldly possessions, but we are rich in God. What we do have is a God who chose us before the foundations of the world, to be in Him and do the good works which He prepared beforehand. We have a gracious and merciful God who sets our sins as far away from us as the east is from the west. We have a God who gave us a Savior, Jesus Christ, that we might dwell in His Presence forever. He adopted us into His family, and gave us His Holy Spirt to be our Helper. We have a God who says, “I am with you.” “The battle belongs to Me,” declares the LORD. He fights our battles for us. Let the poor say, “I am rich, indeed!” May we give a lost and hurting world what we do have, Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords! Now is the time to rise up and walk in the strength, and power of our great God.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. — Psalm 84:11 (NKJV) Better is one day in His courts than a thousand anywhere else. Blessed are those who dwell in the house of the LORD. We will still be praising Him, as we go from strength to strength, overcoming obstacles along the way. (Psalm 84:4,7, 10). Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1 NKJV).

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, — Psalm 146:5-6 (NKJV) We can rejoice because our help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. With us is the LORD our God, to help us and to fight our battles (2 Chronicles 32:8). Nothing is too difficult for Him! God is our strength and our shield; our hearts can trust in Him, and we will find the help we need. Keep your hope anchored in the LORD, our helper.

In that day a man will look to his Maker, and his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.  — Isaiah 17:7 (NKJV) Let today be the day, you consider the One who made you, your Creator. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker (Psalm 95:6). Hold the Holy One of Israel in high regard and consider the things of this world as rubbish. Our Heavenly Father loves us with an everlasting love. We are His treasured possession and He takes great delight in us!

Other people are like seeds that were planted on rocky ground. Whenever they hear the word, they accept it at once with joy. But they don’t develop any roots. They last for a short time. When suffering or persecution comes along because of the word, they immediately fall from faith.  — Mark 4:16-17 (GW) Some believers respond with great enthusiasm to the Word they hear preached on Sunday, then allow the devil to beat them up Monday through Saturday. Make sure you get deeply rooted and grounded in God, in His Word and in the love of Christ, so you can endure the trials and strengthen your faith. Let the Word of God be planted on the good ground of your heart and it will bear fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred times what was sown (Mark 4:20).

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11 (NKJ) Without God, who can eat or find enjoyment? To the person who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness (Ecclesiastes 2:25-26). Our joy is made complete in God's presence. Delight yourself in the presence of the LORD, and experience a continuous flow of sheer pleasures at His right hand.

O my soul, bless God. From head to toe, I'll bless his holy name! O my soul, bless God, don't forget a single blessing! He forgives your sins—every one. He heals your diseases—every one. He redeems you from hell—saves your life! He crowns you with love and mercy—a paradise crown. He wraps you in goodness—beauty eternal. He renews your youth—you're always young in his presence. Psalm 103:1-5 (The Message) Instead of carrying your burdens, cast all your cares on God and count all your blessings. He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. By His mercy we do not get what we deserve but because of His amazing grace we are loaded with benefits we cannot earn. He forgives, He heals, He redeems and He renews. Bless the LORD, O my soul! Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15 (NIV) God has called us to peace. Let us be men and women of peace. May the words we speak foster an environment of peace in our relationships with God and people.
