  we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.   — 2 Corinthians 5:8 (NASB1995) Yesterday, my ninety-one year old mother, went to her real home with the Lord. He has  wiped away every tear from her eyes, and released her from a tired body racked with pain and suffering. I’m sure she heard the words: “ Well done, thou good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord .” Today, I am reminded of the words Yeshua spoke to Martha in John 11:25: “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,” Precious [and of great consequence] in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones [so He watches over them]. (Psalms 116:15 AMP) The Spirit of God has made us, and the breath of the Almighty gives us life. (See Job 33:4) We are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” (See James 4:14) But HOW we live matters, live well and close to our Heave...

So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. — Luke 15:20 (NASB1995) When the son who had went off and squandered his estate with loose living, had spent everything, a severe famine occurred and he began to be impoverished. When he came to his senses, he decided to return home. (See Luke 15:13-14,17-19) If you have strayed away from our heavenly Father, don’t wait for hunger and lack to come upon you. Return home. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. (Psalm 103:13) He draws us to Him with lovingkindness. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. (Psalm 103:8) He redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; (Psalm 103:4)

Jesus replied with this story: “A man prepared a great feast and sent out many invitations. When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, ‘Come, the banquet is ready.’ But they all began making excuses…” — Luke 15:16-18 (NLT) “The servant returned and told his master what they had said. Where ever you are today, Jesus calls you to “ Come .”  You are invited. In Revelation 3:20 (NASB1995), Jesus said: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” He is knocking on the door of your heart. Come to Him daily and take time to fellowship with Him. ...

For everyone who knows your wonderful name keeps putting their trust in you. They can count on you for help no matter what. O Lord, you will never, no never, neglect those who come to you. — Psalm 9:10 (TPT) Keep putting your trust in the LORD, Yahweh. …our true help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. (Psalm 121:2 TPT) Yes, trust in the Lord Yahweh forever and ever! For Yah, the Lord God, is your Rock of Ages! (Isaiah 26:4 TPT) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day.  — Proverbs 4:18 (NLT) This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:5-7 NASB) Let us live, talk and walk as children of the Light.

For this reason we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe. — 1 Timothy 4:10 (CSB) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3 CSB). At one time we lived in this world without God and without hope, but we have been born again. Now we can live with confidence and great expectation. God is not dead and He does not slumber. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy. Our heavenly Father has not forgotten about you. Keep your hope in Him alive and active. His Presence is with you. Always live in hopeful anticipation that God will fulfill every promise He has made. As a child of God you have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.

“To you who are ready for the truth, I say this: Love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer for that person. If someone slaps you in the face, stand there and take it. If someone grabs your shirt, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously. — Luke 6:27-30 (MSG) The way the world lives is contrary to the way Jesus instructs us to live. As disciples of Christ, let us live generously. Generosity begets generosity. Let the love, kindness and generosity of God bring about love, kindness and generosity in you. Living in this manner, we can be instruments of change of in this world.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; — Ephesian 6:17 (NKJK) We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT) Let us fight this spiritual war by using the sword of the Spirit, that is standing on God’s Word. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 NASB) Even Jesus overcame the devil's temptation by saying: “ It is written... ” (Matthew 4:4, 4:7, 4:10) May we follow His example.

And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. — Ephesians 6:10-11 (MSG) The Amplified Bible tells us to be strong in the Lord; to draw our strength from Him and be empowered through our union with Him. (Ephesians 6:10). If we are going to stand strong, we must draw our strength from the Lord and remain closely connected to Him. The Lord is the strength of our lives. (Psalm 27:1) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! (1 Chronicles 16:11) Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength (Isaiah 26:4). The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace. (Psalm 29:11) ‘Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My rig...

You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, “Papa! Father!” Doesn’t that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you’re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance. — Galatians 4:6-7 (MSG) What a rich inheritance we have received in Christ! As children of Almighty God, He has given us full access to His glorious kingdom. He has not held anything back. For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17 NLT). It is an absolute privilege to live in His Presence, full of the power that brought Jesus back to life. Surely, He who conquered death, will enable us to be victorious over the challenges we encounter.

When Jesus saw him coming he said, “There’s a real Israelite, not a false bone in his body.” Nathanael said, “Where did you get that idea? You don’t know me.”  Jesus answered, “One day, long before Philip called you here, I saw you under the fig tree.” — John 1:47-48 (MSG) Don't be like Nathanael and think for one moment that Jesus doesn’t know you. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). Jesus was with God when He chose you before He laid down the foundations of the world. He was there when the Father formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). Not only does He know the real you, He died and was resurrected to pay the price for your sins and reconcile you back into fellowship with our heavenly Father. In addition to all of that, JESUS LOVES YOU! (just the way you are). How awesome is that?

If God hadn’t been for us —all together now, Israel, sing out! —If God hadn’t been for us when everyone went against us, we would have been swallowed alive by their violent anger, swept away by the flood of rage, drowned in the torrent; We would have lost our lives in the wild, raging water. — Psalm 124:1-5 (MSG) With God on our side, who can stand against us? No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory (Deuteronomy 20:4, NIV). Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV)!

Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the LORD our God, Until He has mercy on us.  — Psalm 123:1-2 (NKJV) Instead of casting your eyes on the things that come in your life to distract you, look to the LORD. Our help comes from Him. God is our provider and He is the answer to every challenge. Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)!

When you're kind to others, you help yourself; when you're cruel to others, you hurt yourself. Proverbs 11:17 (The Message) When you sow kindness to others, you reap it in return. Colossians 3:12 tells us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Kindness is one of the fruit that is produced when we are walking according to the Holy Spirit. Be fruitful. “...with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the LORD your Redeemer (Isaiah 54:8). Let us imitate our heavenly Father and sprinkle everything we do with kindness.

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Selah Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death. Psalm 68:19-20 (NIV) Praise the Lord, who daily bears our burdens. Jesus says, "Come to me, all who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28,GW)

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:3-5 (NKJ) The wonderful Creator of heaven and earth, the moon and the stars, has you on His mind. He has crowned you with glory and honor. He calls you His child. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything - all she had to live on." Mark 12:43-44 (NIV) Do we give to God that which costs us nothing or do we make a sacrifice when we give? Jesus wants us to give our all, not just financial resources, but everything we hold dear. When we put it in the hands of the Lord and focus on Him, He blesses us with even more, souls that prosper, overflowing joy and peace, healthy bodies and sound minds.
